EARTH HOUR is coming up again! Have you heard of it? This is the third year they're doing it, and it's an amazing movement to fight global warming by turning off the lights for one hour on March 28th. It's making a huge statement about how one person CAN make a difference. We just have to unite.
This year they have 377 countries committed, which is already twice as many as last year. It started in Sydney as a grassroots movement. Last year, landmarks like Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, Empire State Building, the Sydney Opera House and the Coliseum in Rome all turned out their lights, just to name a few... Even if you don't believe in global warming, this is a totally cool thing to be a part of, just for the conservation aspect! Last year, over 50 million turned out their lights!
This year, Las Vegas (!!!!) has joined and pledged to shut off lights on the strip. Other participating cities are Atlanta, Chicago, LA, Miami and Nashville, Moscow, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Shanghai, and Mexico City. Paris will even be turning off lights on the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame! So....if you want to participate (and really, why not?) - Earth Hour is March 28th from 8:30-9:30 pm, your local time. {{A great excuse for a romantic candlelight dinner?}}
You can sign up here (it requires nothing - it's just a way to track how many millions are participating) - it's totally easy. So peruse their website, watch this video, download this cool poster and spread the word. Make up your own email and send it around or post on your blog, but just REMEMBER:

March 28th at 8:30 pm
Be dark... you'll have a lark.
